I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus...

... well she was until she started laughing.

Ward Christmas Party

Does Santa look familiar? Coby knew Merrill's voice over the microphone, but when he saw him dressed like this he was so scared! We even told him it was daddy and he still didn't want anything to do with him. We couldn't tell if Dylann knew or not- it was pretty cute. Merrill had a lot of fun, I think dressing up as Santa is his new calling in life.

Twilight Mania!!!

Yes, I'm one of those. Last night we went to see the best movie ever! I haven't had that much fun in a long time. We got a group of almost 20 girls and went to dinner, got to the theatre at 10ish and waited until midnight for the movie. It was definitely an event, the theatre was packed full and ladies and girls were screaming with excitement. We laughed so hard and just had the time of our lives. I did not wear a crazy Edward obsessed t-shirt but a lot of the ladies in our group did. When I got home around 2:30 a.m. I was wired and couldn't fall asleep. It was so worth it! Who wants to go see it again? :)

Storytime.
I just noticed in the majority of the pictures I take, my kids are wearing their pj's. Wow- things have gotta change.

Headstand

Uncle Steven came for a sleepover. We love having him, the kids adore him! Even though he probably comes over to play video games we still love it.

Just hangin' out with dad

Is it bad that our kids LOVE getting their picture taken!? Whenever they are doing something cute Dylann says,"Mom take a picture."

Manic Monday

To go along with Delila's blog. I am not into dividing all my pictures. They are in one or two folders. I was supposed to pick the 11th folder the 11th subfolder and the 6th picture. She also said I could just add those #'s up.
This is my Chuck Norris Big Foot hunting photo. This year for Man Weekend we invited Chuck to help us find Big Foot. The only problem was we forgot the lethality of his roundhouse. When he saw Big Foot Chuck kicked so hard that Big Foot was obliterated. I put this picture on a shirt. It was good times.

A couple of mornings ago Coby woke up really early and after a few minutes he was motioning toward Dylann's door because she was still asleep. Then he started to hit the door and attempt to open it. I told him that she needed to sleep so he wandered around the house for a while and then layed down on the floor next to me with his blanket. He actually fell asleep- my kids never do that! About fifteen minutes later Dyl woke up and she noticed Coby sleeping. She thought it was so cute and asked me if she could kiss him. She did and then went to the couch to watch t.v., she kept getting up to go look at Coby in the other room. She couldn't resist anymore and kissed him again and he woke up. They were so happy to see eachother. I thought it was just precious that they are so excited to spend time together. I love these kids!

They really are as fast as they look

This weekend Ben and I took a ride through Valley of Fire. We stopped and got a few geocaches along the way. I did figure out how to attach my gps to the bike, so the next obstacle is figuring out the Pepsi holder. I already have a few thoughts in the works

Tag your it

So I was "tagged" and the rules are- I have to post the fourth picture in the fourth folder of my pictures. Then give an explanation. Unfortunately the picture happens to be of our old couch and it's not too exciting. I sold them on craigslist several weeks ago so this is the picture I used. They were great comfy couches, but I was not sad at all to see them go. I tag Amy, Britt, Brooke, and Trish. Luv ya!

Pumpkin Carving

For family night we carved pumpkins. After being really inspired by seeing the Death Star, ( http://fantasypumpkins.com/carving-the-deathstar.htm ,) we decided to do an Awesome one. Dylann cleaned the pumpkin, Hank ate the insides, Jamie drew the picture, and I carved it. It was lots of fun.

Halloween Party

This year we all dressed up. Dylann picked out a clown outfit. So naturally Hank was told he "wanted" to be a clown also. I had to make it a little more manly. The only manly thing I could think of was a Rodeo Clown. Hank really liked it until he had to put on makeup. Jamie and I dressed up as a White Trash couple. At the party several of the other couple's commented that if I hadn't had a mullet wig on they wouldn't have known I dressed up.

Hey ya'll, I just wanted to write to our devoted readers (haha). I just wanted to let you know that Merrill has gotten really into blogging lately so about the last five posts were his doing. He is more devoted to these things and I'm sure you will be hearing more from him. Enjoy! We know you love to hear every detail of our lives.

For those who don't believe, its a true story

Some of you may already know this, and others may not. I started in a sales position about 3 months ago. It is the first time I have ever had my own office. Under much pressure from some guy in my ward, I was informed that I had to decorate my office. I had no desire to do this, and he suggested I get a token Blue Angels poster. Jamie had a better idea. She got me two posters that have Chuck Norris Facts. One of the salesmen I work with saw my posters. Andy instantly thought they were AWESOME!!! About three weeks ago Andy was flipping through TV channels with his girlfriend and came across a Chuck Norris show. Remembering how much I like Chuck, Andy told his girlfriend. She asked Andy if I would like an autographed picture of Chuck. To which Andy replied, "Uh yeah!." She picked up her cell phone and called Chuck. Turns out that this girl and Chuck had a fling at one point. Fast forward a couple of days into the future and I am at a weekly sales meeting. On the desk in that meeting is a package addressed to me. I opened it up and found this picture of Chuck Norris calling me his hero.

It was Legen...............wait for it............dary.

To those who want an autograph, the chances are dismal. Andy just broke up with this girl. I do however give permission to anyone who would like to have this picture to print it and say they know me personally.

If Dad isn't reading a book he is at this thing. But I dont really see what is so intersting.

Our favorite pastime, looking for rollie pollies

Joy School

Dylann started her first day of preschool. Four of the women in our ward are taking turns teaching the kids, so they go to a different house each week. They practice their number and letters twice a week.

Merrill's new toy

So Merrill decided that he needed to be more "cool" and get a motorcycle. For weeks I just told him no way, quit asking me. But finally I was so sick of hearing it (and watching him check craigslist every ten minutes) that I told him whatever- just do what will make you happy. My only concerns were the money and safety. So after agreeing to take a class, get more life insurance, practice a lot with his friend before driving alone or on the freeway, and finding a good deal, he came home with his new obsession. I told him this happiness better last a loooooong time because he wasn't getting anything else for at least fifty years. Everyone asks me when I'll hop on and go for a ride, but I'm just not ready yet! It will be sorta fun to go on a date I guess. Merrill really wanted to post pictures for all his buddies so here it is.

How I Met Your Mother

Most of you probably don't watch this show, but it's one of our favorites. So Doogie Howser is in it and he is freakin hilarious. In his office he has a gagillion motivational posters, and one of them is "Awesomeness". Merrill just had to have this for his office so I got it for his birthday. You have to admit- it's pretty Awesome. P.S. the caption says "When I get sad, I stop being sad and be Awesome instead. True story."

September 11, 2008

So we were playing hide and seek and normally when we think of a fun place to hide, Dylann wants to hide there every time. When it's her turn to seek, she tells you where to hide. If you find her right away she tells you to look around some more. These are the new rules. I don't understand how it can still be fun but she will act so surprised when you find her in a spot she has already hid the past three times. My kids crack me up.

So Brittany is bugging me to write more posts, but there isn't too much goin' on around here. Excuse the many pics of our kids, but this is my life. I walked in the room the other day and Dyl had put a chair on the coffee table and Coby was sitting in it. They were pretty proud of themselves.

Our home!

These pics are for our family that are far away and haven't seen our house yet. It is way more awesome in person, but this is basically what it looks like.
