It's the little things

Yesterday the kids and I were at Smith's heading for the checkout. This was the second store of our outing and the kids had already had enough of me telling them we were almost done. Usually they're pretty good at the store but they were just getting on eachother's nerves. We get to the front to find that there is only one checkout open with four people in line. I didn't have the patience to stand there and wait, so we headed for the self checkout. My face must have shown exactly how I was feeling because an employee was walking past me and he said "come with me". He went over and opened a new checkout and I almost cried. Normally I would tell the people in the front of the other line to go ahead of me and they probably looked at me like "who the heck does she think she is" but I was so shocked I didn't care. I'm so grateful for people that make my life a little easier when I'm making it too hard.

Day family photo shoot

Day family photo shoot

We got these done back in October right before David left on his mission. The photographer is still making some changes but I think they are so cute overall. By the way, Brooke had her baby Bradley on Dec. 31st - he is stinkin' cute! Congrats to the new mommy and daddy.

I know it's been a while since we posted and you all are just dying to see pictures. (haha) We had a great Christmas and New Years and have been busy getting back into normal life. This is the kids and neighbors playing in our leaves just a few weeks ago, and Dyl playing in the snow just before christmas- in Vegas! She thought this piece of lint was snow. You never know what the weather is gonna be like in this crazy town!

Diaper Genie Wreath

What do you do when your friends hang a wreath on your door that's made out of compacted diapers? You take pictures- of course! This was quite possibly the most disgusting thing we've seen in a while, so we thought we would share... thanks a lot ryan and amy.
